Increasing supports, Brig. Gen Latuconsina Likely to Win, Govern Maluku

Ambon, January 5, 2024/Indonesia Media – Currently, Said Latuconsina has not declared his readiness to run in 2024 Maluku Gubernatorial election (Pilgub) yet. Anyhow, the support from Maluku people towards Latuconsina who is also the Commander of Naval Base (Danlantamal) IX Ambon, with the rank of Brigadier General (Brig. Gen) keeps increasing from various elements of people in the province.

Latuconsina has chances of winning the election, to achieve the first seat in the gubernatorial town hall. The election, which will be held in Mid September 2024, shows bigger chances for Latuconsina’s high chances of winning. “we appeal to our electorate and the issues through community outreach. We keep moving,” said a close aide of Latuconsina, Tadi Salampessy.

Meanwhile, one of political observers, Herman Siamiloy is of the same mind as the people in Maluku towards Latuconsina. If he runs in the gubernatorial election (Pilgub), he has good chances to govern, administer Maluku province. “I am sure, the participation of Latuconsina in the election will not be underestimated. he has bigger chances to win (the election),” said Siamiloy.

As far as he knows, Latuconsina currently keeps travelling through the region for the campaign, voicing the security of marine resources. Since the marine resources of the region, so far, have not been utilized to the maximum for the sake of Maluku people. “At least, there is a big hope for Maluku people if Brig. Gen Latuconsina takes up office as new governor. He manages to govern, utilizing the potentials of fisheries and marine resources for the region in various sectors,” he said. (LS/IM)
