Indonesia to ban poisonous paint

Paint made with lead, which affects the brain development of children, will be removed from the shelves in 2015.

In Indonesia poisonous leaded paint is still widely used, despite proven health risks.

A recent survey showed that more than 75 percent of paint used for decorating contains some of the highest rates of lead in the world.

The government, aware of the health risks has taken steps to get it off the shelves.
