Meeghan Henry

Pop star sensation Meeghan Henry will turn heads with more than her voice when she walks down the runway in 2011’s Miss Asia USA Pageant as the Indonesian delegate.

Meeghan Henry has caught the eyes of many influential names in the music industry since the tender age of fifteen years old, such as Ronnie King. Since then she has received many accolades as the winner of the Little Miss San Dimas pageant, a nominated artist for “Pop Artist of the Year 2011” by the LA Music Awards, and the winner for “Favorite Artist 2010” by Independent Music Network Awards. Her music career has stemmed from her first debut album “When I’m 18” to sharing a stage with multi-platinum artist Colby O’ Donis. Currently sixteen years old and a recent high school graduate, Meeghan has been busy with rehearsals from the Miss Asia USA Pageant and finishing up her new single, “Trouble.”

In the 2011 Miss Asia USA Pageant, Meeghan will stand amongst the crowd of delegates to compete for the title of Miss Asia USA 2011. Her national costume featured on the cover was designed by KRT Daud Wiryo Hadinegaro with boots custom made by Johnny Widiana, the whole costume was put together with help by her stylist Amron-Paul Yuwono. Meeghan responded in an interview with Indonesia Media that, “being part of Miss Asia USA is definitely something I’ve never experienced before-but in a great way.” Though she has performed with big name artists before, Meeghan says that the pageant is “helping me a lot with my self-confidence” and that “music and pageantry are two completely different things.”

Her ultimate goal in life is to be a UN Ambassador and she hopes that by being a part of Miss Asia USA it will help her get closer to that goal. As an UN Ambassador she hopes to help Indonesia “with all the struggles of poverty going on”, but she does not want to only be limited to Asia and instead wants to “be able to help countries all over the world.”

Nevertheless, her music career is barely on hold.  Meeghan’s second album, “Trouble”, is already available for sale, and the music video is due to be released by the end of this month or next month. Meeghan told us that she loves to “perform and really put on a show for other people.” She hopes that music will always continue to play a part in her life for a long time, “whether it be singing, songwriting, or producing.”
