Indonesia X-treme Off Road Racing 2017 two series has been held successfully on Saturday (20th May) and Sunday (21st May) in Paramount Land circuit, Gading Serpong South Tangerang, Banten Province. One series was held previously in Banjar Baru. Hundreds of local and national offroader participated in two series event. Rifat and Rizal Sungkar who earned support from Achilles also participated in the event. The two drivers (Rifat and Rizal Sungkar) belong to Pertamax Motorsport team, did not want to miss the two series race.
Under the scorching sun, Paramount Land circuit during the race day was suitable for drivers to compete with each other. They struggled to reach the finish line at the best record times.
Both Rizal and Rifat Sungkar joined in Group G5.4, driving Mitsubishi Triton with Achilles tyres, namely Desert Hawk X-MT. Rifat Sungkar escorted by navigator M. Redwan managed to accomplish four first special stages without any penalty. He managed to accomplish with its best record time namely 13:48.858.
Meanwhile Rizal Sungkar, escorted by Anthony Sarwono almost skipped his brother, driving Mitsubishi Pajero. Both of them managed to achieve the best record time namely 14:05.11. Both of Rizal and Rifat managed to drive through the track without any penalty.
With their best result, namely four first special stages,they deserved to continue competing in the fifth and sixt special stages respectively. Fifth and sixth special stages will be attended by ten fastest offroader in their respective categories. They will compete with the fastest result to win two series IXOR 2017. During the fifth and sixth special stage, some offroaders made big efforts to achieve the best result. Rifat Sungkar managed to achieve the fourth position with its record time namely 06:54.924. Meanwhile Rizal Sungkar achieved to get his sixth position with record time, namely 07:11:029
The festive IXOR 2017 would last longer than the one in Gading Serpong. Offroaders with the support of Achilles at IXOR 2017 will be held with three series in Serang, Banten on 5 – 6 August 2017. Just follow instagram @achilles_radial! (SL/IM)
