Damayanti Krysti Sinaga

Damayanti Krysti Sinaga, who is also known as Dam, has been selected to represent Indonesia as the delegate in the upcoming Mrs. Asia USA 2011 pageant. In an interview with Indonesia Media she said, “being a delegate in this pageant and representing my country as an ambassador is such a life experience that I will never forget.”

Since her time as a delegate in the Miss Asia USA Pageant, Dam has had many oppurtunities open up for her and has also allowed to create a network with many influential leaders, such as leaders from Indonesia, Korea, Sri-Linka, and many other European and African nations. In response to this Dam said, “it has been such an honor to be invited to the

events I’ve attended. Just to have the diplomats on my BBM (Black Berry Messenger) is enough to get a kick out of.”

Dam recalls one instance when she was truly honored to be invited, “the driver took me to the airport where I flew to Northern California for a very special fundraiser event. It was such a wonderful event where I witnessed people coming together from many different races and backgrounds to raise money for orphanages and surprisingly enough it was for an organization in Ache, Indonesia for the Give light Foundation…we were able to raise $250,000 in less than 45 minutes. It was such an honor to be sharing a table with the consul general, executives, CEO, and many other successful business men and women.

As a young Indonesian woman, her goal of tapping into the corporate world was not easy and she even had many opportunities closed off from her. She was, however, able to catch the eye of one CEO in her dream field. Her persistence and perseverance paid off as Dam now gets to travel around the globe with her company to places such as, London, Hong Kong and in the future Dubai and the Middle East.

Currently, Dam works as a General Manager running a multi-million dollar company that operates in eight locations from Southern California to Las Vegas, Nevada. From marketing products and managing staff to mentoring students and colleagues, Dam is thankful to be doing what she loves.  “People ask me all the time, Ms D. how are you still able to walk in those heels after working 12 hours? And I always respond with, love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”

Along with her position as a general manager, she also co-founded ottoguide.com with her brother, Ronald Sinaga. She said that she hopes to go back to Indonesia and open many offices and offer jobs to Indonesians. Her future plan though is to have her own product that she can market not only in Indonesia but all around the world.

Damayanti Krysti Sinaga values her Indonesian culture and hopes to represent Indonesia well in the pageant as a delegate. Dam told Indonesia Media that is thankful to all of her friends and family, and hopes to continue living by her motto, “Faith, Family, Friends, and Fortune.”
