Bandung, Mid November, 2019, Indonesia Media – Providing an information service to develop export of Indonesian products, going together with private sectors on the basis of mutual benefit, Indonesian Trade Ministry wishes to fulfil foreign market demand with international-standard products. But in fact, not all private companies demonstrate openness for export information and data. “We cannot push them, but we still have to accept their policies. The cooperation, and willingness to share information can actually be helpful to promote their products and services to foreign markets,” said Dhonny Yudho Kusumo, Assistant Deputy Director for Asia Pacific of the Ministry’s Directorate General of National Export Development (DGNED).

Business data and information collection also covers segmentation, characteristic of product, price, trend, competitiveness, etc. He cited the event of Factory Tour Aquatec in Padalarang of west Bandung, West Java province, attended by the delegates of the Jiangsu’s Bureau of Statistics, China is a good example of demonstrating openness for data. Aquatec is a trusted brand for marine, fishery and tourism equipment from Indonesia, where all the production processes from raw materials to finished goods are done in Bandung, West Java. Aquatec products are made of Prime Grade High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is durable and environmentally friendly. “During the Factory Tour, the delegates have seen the technology of Indonesian. From here, we will submit the company profile of Aquatec, and put in our database. In case, there is a business inquiry, or related event, we just look up in our database. The benefit, that Aquatec can participate in particular events which may be larger,” said Dhonny.

Jiangsu’s delegates said they were interested in the advanced technology solution for aquaculture. The delegates comprised of the Deputy Director (Mr. Zhou Guoqiang), Researcher of Finance Dept. (Mr. Hu Yuelin), Deputy Director of Household Statistics Office (Mr. Hu Zhenyue), Six-level Staff of Polling Center (Mrs. Xu Fenglian), Deputy Researcher of Wuxi investigation Bureau (Mr. Yin Mingzheng)

There were sure the technology would be suitable for China. When attending the Factory Tour in west Bandung, the province West Java, the delegates also shared experiences and information especially on Chinese aquaculture. In general, the situation of Chinese aquaculture including the one in Jiangsu, starting from small scale home till big industry. “The event of factory tour may improve business inquiries for the company. If inquiry arrives, the products of Aquatec has been put in database. We surely help to provide the facility of information sharing. What we expect, there is an increase of exportation and state income,” said Dhonny

He was sure the brand of Aquatec includes not only fish cage systems but also HDPE submersible cages, UHMWPE knotless anti-predator net; floating dock; marine Alumunium & Ecowood floating house; and a series of anti sink boat. In the aquaculture sector, Aquatec products are built on the foundation of extensive knowledge in HDPE pipe co-extrusion (for antibiofouling cages), large HDPE component injection, and other HDPE processing since 2008. As demand for aquaculture products rises, so is the capacity and capability in manufacturing advanced HDPE cages. As of 2019, the company has delivered over 15,750 cages in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, China, Maldives, and Ghana in various sea conditions. “When entering Chinese market, Indonesian premium products will find it hard to compete. Chinese products may be more competitive in terms of price. Therefor we have to compete with another side, namely the quality. Then Indonesian premium products can enter Chinese market with good branding,” said Dhonny. (sl/IM)
