The wife of the third Indonesian president, B.J. Habibie, Hasri Ainun Habibie, passed away at Ludwig Maximilians-Universitat Hospital in Munich, Germany, on Saturday afternoon. She was 72.
Ainun died of colon infection, kompas.com reported.
The remains of Ainun will be transported from Germany on Tuesday and is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon. The burial will be held at Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.
Ainun had reportedly undergone nine operations since she was admitted to the hospital for a pancreatic infection on March 24.
Ainun is survived by his husband and two sons.
