As people enter the church site, one can’t help but notice the bright balloons floating in the air, the echoes
of children laughing as they pet zoo animals, and the sound of live music being performed by the church
Our attention is directed to the main stage as Mayor Cartagena of the city of Walnut and Mayor ProTem
Sykes from the city of West Covina open the festivities of Walnut’s first Easter Eggstravaganza. This is
a collaborative event conducted by City Blessing Church of Walnut (CBC) and Gospel Life Community
CBC Claremont and CBC Temple City moved to Miracle Hill, at 18901 Amar Rd, Walnut, CA 91789 on
December 2012 and they became CBC of Walnut. Through this Easter Eggstravaganza CBC and GLC
partnered to bless the City of Walnut and surrounding areas. As the church’s theme year is to: Love God,
Love People, this event would acquaint the community to the church and to welcome everyone, as well as
the Indonesian community in the San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire.
According to Jon Francisco, one of the head organizers of the Easter Eggstravaganza, they had the help of
hundreds of volunteers from CBC and GLC, and were able to serve more than 2,000 guests who attended
the Easter Eggstravaganza. As guests came, they were greeted at the welcome booth with information
regarding the day’s events, church info, raffle tickets and companion buddies to show them around.
Children were given baskets to participate in the egg hunt, and a myriad of 20 game booths were ready
to entertain them with more fun. There was also a photo booth for attendees to keep memorabilia, a dunk
tank that hosted the bravest men and women, face painting which turned kids into famous superheroes
and animated characters, and the main stage, which hosted a variety of guest performers, talent show
participants, and the Axis Band, which is the CBC College ministry house band.
It was definitely a day to remember. Everyone seemed to enjoy a day of family fun, entertaining games,
great interaction, uplifting music, and a thought-provoking Easter message. Francisco said, “this was
a great opportunity to bring ‘Love God, Love People’ from just a mere slogan into action and show
God’s love to the community. Sometimes we can get too comfortable and complacent in who we are as
Christians and as a church. We must remember that God came to save our lives and bless us so that we
could fulfill His purposes for us and be a blessing unto others. As CBC of Walnut continues to grow, we
hope God’s love will be felt by more and more people in the community.”
For those who came, they surely enjoyed a family-filled fun day and were blessed by the Easter
Eggstravaganza. This will definitely not be the last community event CBC and GLC will host. The
community can expect a very egg-citing Easter celebration for years to come. So folks, keep your eyes
open next spring for CBC & GLC’s annual eggs-traordinary Easter event!

God came to save our lives from what ? Why we still can not have eternal life after we born into this world if our sin has been paid off by jesus ? Jesus won’t pay for your sin. That’s the truth.
Tony, it s your choice, you must have your reponsibility in front of HIM when you facing death. eternal death
