The Sho Tay That I Know

Posted on March 17 2010 by Bryant Irawan - Indonesia Media

In a time when our country’s top politicians have become to used to lavishly spending taxpayer money and increasing debt, individual cities need to rise to the occasion and find leaders that know better and allocate funds in the most useful manner. Unfortunately, not many people take the time to analyze what needs to be done and what doesn’t. It just doesn’t matter anymore. Millions of dollars are being taxed and we take it for granted. We pretend that the money coming in will always come in and that city residents have an easy time supporting a family while being heavily taxed. As a student of the Arcadia High School District since kindergarten, I’ve personally seen and experienced some of the big flaws of the city’s budget, specifically its education budget. Because of this, I implore our city’s voting population to choose an intelligent, responsive, and diligent leader that will make sure that I, as well as my fellow peers and future students, will have the best education environment possible. I strongly believe that leader is none other than Sho Tay.

I’ve personally known Sho Tay for several years now. He has been more than an idol to me. He has also been a supportive guide that I trust and I believe he is a candidate that the city can also trust. He has currently lived in Arcadia for 25 years and his two children, Sloane and Sharlotte, have both attendedArcadia schools. His strong belief in family values and supportive kindness make him a capable, responsive leader that will listen to the city’s opinions.

Most importantly, however, his experience as a manager and leader guarantees that he is the candidate that Arcadia needs. Sho Tay not only accumulated more than 30 years of business managerial experience, he has already been a community leader for many years. He is currently involved in the Los Angeles County Arbortetum, Arcadia Chamber of Commerce,

Arcadia Rotary Club, Arcadia Chinese Association, Arcadia Masonic Lodge, Arcadia Red Cross, Baldwin Adobe Restoration Committee, and Boy Scouts of America as a director, President, or other high ranking officer. His involvement shows that he genuinely wants to promote a conservative, businesslike approach to the city’s debt accumulating government as well as increase the revenues of the businesses in Arcadia. Sho Tay knows what our community needs. Instead of needlessly funding unimportant areas in the city, he has researched specific areas to fund such as school and youth programs, senior care, city growth, community unity, city values, and safety and plans to create balanced budgets.

It’s rare to see a politician with such strong personal values and such dedication to the city. Sho Tay has rarely been awarded nor recognized for his years of steady contribution. Not only does Sho Tay have the experience and mindset to lead our city, he truly deserves it.
