Pershing Square

As I continue to familiarize with Los Angeles, I feel I have prepared myself suffciently to explore the heart of LA itself, Pershing Square. Luckily, the Metro Line system has a station in walking distance of my desired location. I am starting to realize the true benefits of the Metro system. Not once during my adventures to the Downtown area did I need to walk more than two hundred meters to reach my destination. In addition, I am able to travel much faster if I am going Metro than compared to going in an automobile.

While surfacing to the ground, I saw bizarre, but artistic geometric structures ranging from ordinary spheres to oblique “unable to named” shapes. There was a salsa concert performing and visitors were peacefully sitting in the shade or dancing at the quad. At the center, a stream of water fell from one of the tall structures that acted as the park’s cooling system. It is here where the annual ice skating event takes place in Downtown Los Angeles. This is the only place in LA where palm trees meet ice skating and also a perfect spot to take a photo of skyscrapers overlooking Pershing Square’s colorful structures.
Adjacent to the park, is Hill and 7th St., home to LA’S jewelry district. The jewelry district does not consist of only one store, but a whole street full of stores. However, the most renowned and possibly complete is the St. Vincent Jewelry Center.
Inside the store, there are several independent shops that sell their own brand of jewelry ranging fiom necklaces to watches made with every mineral you could think of. For the husbands reading this article, please consider to add at least an extra four hours to allow your spouse to browse around the center. In addition, remind yourself to be equipped with at least three checkbooks.
Once your spouse is satisfied with her purchases and your credit cards are all maxed out, visit the nearby Flower Mart on 7th and Wall St. while you are there. Or, if you want to be strategic, visit the Flower Mart before the Jewelry District. Flowers are a great substitute for jewelry and can only costs twenty dollars or less!
The street includes a major Flower retailer department store. The department store is stocked with an unmatched variety of exotic flowers of all colors. Some have rods sticking out and some don’t. Each flower looks as if a giant bucket of colors has been splashed to make it more vibrant and eye catching. Unfortunately, this department store is only open 2 A.M. to 8 A.M. However, please remind yourself that the Flower Mart is a street filled with many stores. In addition, be sure to take a photo of the Fifty-One Bees’ mural. It is said there are exactly Fifty-One Bees. The department store just happens to be the biggest. Once compared side by side, the Flower Mart is a much more reasonable destination for husbands in my opinion. Simply spend ten minutes looking around a store and dish out ten dollars and you have got yourselves a wonderful gift!
