Miss Asia USA 2007 – 19th Annual Cultural Pageant

 Just like last year, traffic around the Alex Theatre on Saturday, June 30, 2007 slowed to a crawl as the 19th Annual Miss Asia USA once again played to another sold out audience.
Almost 1400 guests watched 25 contestants representing the different countries in the Asian continent vie for the coveted title Miss Asia USA 2007. In the end, the lucky young lady that won the crown is 19 year old Katherine Sitseri, who represented Thailand. Katherine was born and raised in Los Angeles. She is in her second year of college seeking Fine Arts Degree at Pierce College. “I am thrilled and honored for the opportunity to serve for one exciting year as the Ambassador of Culture and Goodwill for the Asian communities in America. I will strengthen the mission of Miss Asia USA in its efforts to unite the 58 member nations in the Asian continent” said Katherine.
“The title Miss Asia USA is earned through hard work and the demonstration of self-confidence, intelligence, beauty and elegance” according to Virgelia Villegas, President of Virgelia Productions, Inc and the producer of Miss Asia USA.
 Villegas also said "Preparations for Miss Asia USA 2008, our 20th Annual Cultural Pageant, are already underway and we invite all qualified young women to submit applications to participate as 2008 contestants."
