ICAA-BRYCE CANYON TOUR
I
was playing my PSP, when suddenly I remembered that tomorrow
was the Saturday before Labor Day and I was going on a fabulous,
peculiarly inexpensive tour planned by the ICAA. I rushed
downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed all my belongings
such as my IPOD, my PSP, my cell phone, etc. and packed
them. I prepared all my bags right outside my garage door
and quickly tucked myself in to bed.
The next morning, I spiked my hair up and quickly picked
my bags and loaded it to the van.
The back seat was all squished up because my grandma came
to visit and we took out the back seat so we had to fit
4 people inside. After a few grunts and thinking, we finally
made a way to make all of us fit. During the ride, I fought
with my little sister a little and continued to sleep. When
we got to Duarte Inn, my dad smacked me at my leg and I
instantly woke up. I unloaded my bags and loaded them back
to the large and comfortable tour bus.
We
all slept for a long time because we had to wake so early.
But we finally reached LasVegas to eat a large Chinese meal.
After our fat stomachs were satisfied, we continued our
tour to our first canyon called Zion National Park.
Everybody got really great pictures because the light was
just right and the sun was about to set. We drove in and
out the park visiting some scenic spots and an information
booth where a movie was showing and information was displayed
across the whole building by posters and short audio conversations
that were recorded. Some tourists had the chance to buy
some souvenirs such as postcards and such. We got on with
the tour by visiting a dark tunnel that had some amazing
views but we passed it real quick and had only a second
to take the pictures. The tunnel was pitch black and was
only lighten up by the nature light coming from the ends
of the tunnel and some holes like windows where amazing
views of the park was showing. After that we went back on
our bus and sat to continue the 2-hour ride to our Super
8 hotel.
We
woke up early in the morning around seven and enjoyed a
nice breakfast meal. We were now on our way to Lake Powell.
We exchanged buses to make it fair for everyone to sit at
least once in both buses.
As soon as we arrived in Lake Powell, you could see a huge
dam just like Hoover dam with a gorgeous sparkling lake
with cruises that go back and forth providing views &
information about the lake. There was a center that had
a mini model of all the canyons and a guide explaining everything
about all the close canyons and dams along the Colorado
River. They also had a bookstore and a souvenir store to
purchase items from the center.
