Indonesia Makes Top Five in the Miss Asia California 2005
San Diego , California - Miss Indonesia , Yasinta Paloma Egas, makes the top five in her first pageant. She joins Miss Asia California 2005 Sherry Knight's Court of Goodwill Ambassadors. Other members of this year's court include: Miss Vietnam , Theresa Le (first runner-up), Miss Philippines , Carol Castillo (second runner-up), and Miss India , Shalini Haranahalli (third runner-up).
Miss Yasinta Paloma Egas takes acting from the New York Film Academy . She is a model, a makeup artist and an entrepreneur in Bali sterling silver. Her main hobby is paintball.
The Miss Asia California 2005 Beauty Pageant was held at Pala Casino Events Center las June 11, 2005 . Mr. Michael Basnight & Miss Catherina Choi hosted the event, dazzling the audience with their sparkling wit and humor. Casting director, Mr. Rodney Epps; former Miss Oregon National Teenager, Mrs. Becky Casenhiser; promionent Vietnamese philanthropist & realtor, Mrs. Vivian Buu; and Filipino top executive, Mr. William Hernandez, Jr. comprised the panel of judges for the evening.
This year's Miss Asia California 2005 Beauty Pageant jumpstarts a series of fundraising events to support the Never Ending Gardens project of the Dream for Africa Movement. Miss Asia California 2005 and her court will also spearhead various activities aiming to unite the different Asian Communities to be able to set medical missions and scholarship grants for the less fortunate people of Asia . "
